Well hello there! It’s been a couple of weeks since I shared anything here. I went on a vacation with my sister and nephew to the Oregon coast.
There were a couple of days I dreamed about never coming home because it was so amazingly beautiful.
I loved spending the time on the Oregon coast! The temperatures were perfect in the high 60’s. (I HATE SUMMER!) I was able to hang out on the beach (with my stuff safely locked inside these awesome bags! Now that I’m home I think I”ll use them for some crafty organization.) and view the gorgeous scenery. It was pure heaven!
But alas, here I am back at home, and back to my crochet projects! I’m working on a lot of things right now that are requiring me to change colors a lot. And it occurred to me that might be something you’re struggling with in your crochet journey.
So I wanted to make sure I explained it for you as best as I could. So you’re getting a video explanation because that was the easiest way I could think of to show you how to do this!
Changing colors in crochet isn’t as intimidating as it looks.
It’s a technique that is very commonly used, yet beginner crocheters get easily intimidated by it. If you want to master the invisible join in crochet projects, then this is a great place to start learning that skill.
Sometimes patterns will ask you to change colors in the middle of a row, or sometimes it’s at the end of a row. This technique can be used anywhere in the pattern that it calls for a color change.
I like using this invisible join method because it leaves a cleaner more professional look to my finished project. However, there are many different ways to change color in your crochet project, and they’re all great. This way just eliminates the knots in the yarn and makes everything just feel better.
